Effective August 1st, 2016 we will be testing out one hour classes. Right now all of our classes are 45 minutes in length and we occasionally go over about 5-10 minutes.
I've given a lot of thought to how I can improve our classes and do more during our training time. At times I feel rushed to squeeze everything into our 45 minutes. I also feel pressed to quickly explain things to ensure I don't cut into our actual physical training time. I would like more time for warming up or what I like to movement prep, so we can include some shadow boxing and skill work. I would also like time to more thoroughly explain things and integrate new drills into our training.
We will test out the one hour classes for ALL classes during the month of August. At times we may only utilize 45 minutes of our one hour class time, but I want the flexility to have a full hour when we need it. With classes being one hour, on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday classes will be back to back. This means I won't have time in-between classes to address any concerns, ring you up for products, or assist you in the lobby. Please be mindful of that and plan to arrive before the first class if you need something or take care of things after the last class. You can always contact me via email or call 331.481.9116 to discuss things outside of class times. My hope is to also hire an admin to help at the front desk at some point in the future.
While I know it will be an adjustment and a bummer not to have that 15 minute gap between classes to interact with me and take care of things, I do think everyone will enjoy having a bit more training time to improve what we are already doing.
