STRUCTURE

You’ve already got a million things going on in your life, so it can be hard to nail down a specific training program. Knockout makes it easy: We program the workouts, and you show up and train.

PURPOSE

MEET OUR TEAM


Our coaches are trained by Owner and Heach Coach, Jessica Lewis, through our internship program and hold certifications from NASM. Our goal is to provide hands-on individualized coaching in a group training environment. We don’t criticize, and we don’t make empty promises. You’ll never hear us talk about diets or six-pack abs. We believe in body positivity. Building strength. Intuitive eating. Balanced living. And becoming your best self!

Above all else, we believe in you. We make it a point to know your name, strengths and goals.

JESSICA LEWIS

Owner, Head Coach


Coach Jess is the founder and our fearless leader. She started KOTC in 2011 to create a badass place for people to train and escape the BS of the mainstream fitness industry.

As the head coach of Knockout, she oversees the club’s training program, staff development, and member experience. Her goal is to provide you with the environment, tools, and coaching necessary to live a strong, healthy life. She is also a lifelong lifter, StrongFirst Level 1 Kettlebell Instructor, two-time Chicago Golden Gloves Champion, and trained psychotherapist.

Jess graduated from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology with an MA in Clinical Psychology and received her BA in Criminal/Social Justice and Psychology from Lewis University.

MELISSA LULLO

Assistant Coach


Coach Lullo has been a KOTC since 2012 and completed her one-year internship with Coach Jess in 2015. She is a middle school special ed teacher by day and boxing coach by night. Her years of teaching experience give her the ability to break down techniques into easily understood movement patterns and help members safely master new skills.

Lullo graduated from St. Francis with a MA in Educational Leadership and received her BA in Elementary and Special Education from Lewis University.

LAUREN PHILLIPS

Assistant Coach


A former three-season athlete, Lauren is a lifelong learner who spends the school year teaching high school math and her summers seeking adventure. She’s quick to encourage and always happy to help KOTC members work through new movements until they get it right.

Lauren graduated from Northwestern University with an MSEd in Secondary Math Education and received her BS in Psychology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
